Frequently Asked Questions

Does Medicare pay for these services?

Unfortunately, no. Medicare only covers skilled nursing needs. However, there are many other programs that cover in home care for those individuals that qualify.

Is there a minimum number of hours that I have to schedule in order to receive service?

Home Care Advantage is one of the only agencies in the area that will provide service for those who only need as little as one (1) hour of care.

Can we have someone help with medication?

In the state of Ohio, only a skilled nurse can administer medication. Our qualified aides may only remind clients to take their medication or assist them with prepared pill packs.

Is your Agency bonded?

Yes. Fingerprints, background checks, and pre-employment drug testing are all requirements of potential employees.

How do I get services started?

A call to the office will initiate an initial visit in your home from a Registered Nurse who will do an assessment of your needs and establish a care plan with you and/or your loved ones. A schedule can then be set up for you to begin receiving services.
